Jaipur: The armed police unit will patrol outside the jewelry and bank shop as part of security settings during the Diwali celebration.
The additional police commissioner (law and order) Hake Ali Zaidi said Jaipur police had made security measures very easy for the city in front of the festival.
He said special drones would be used to oversee market roads.
Drones will be connected with city police control rooms to receive real-time video access.
In addition to drones, police riding horses, also known as the unit installed, will keep narrow hallways throughout the night.
Speaking with Toi, Zaidi said the senior police official team had been deployed in the walled city market to face encroachment which often caused traffic congestion.
“Interceptor vehicles and traffic control team (TST) have been deployed in all major areas of the city to facilitate the movement of vehicle traffic that is safe and smooth,” Zaidi said, adding that the city command unit of the fast reaction team (QRTS) would be posted in places It is important to prevent armed threats.
He added that two gunmen from each police station Jaipur would patrol the festival season.
“Additional deployment has been moved to help local police,” Zaidi said.
About 500 police personnel ordered have been transferred to police Aide Jaipur for Diwali law and order assignments.
From 500, 250 of these police will be sent for traffic assignments.
