Djokovic adopted a wait-and-looking attitude to the Australian Open

Paris: Novak Djokovic said he would think about whether he defended an Australian open title when an official decision was made about the rules around the player and vaccination Covid-19.
World number one added he would not give further comments until then, because he did not “want to be part of the story” spin around the assumption or “what if.” There are mixed messages about who will be allowed to play in the first Grand Slam next year who run from January 17-30 in Melbourne.
The email leaked last week from WTA suggested that undiscidable players would be allowed to compete with as long as they traveled for 14 days and were handed over to ordinary Coronavirus testing.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison then said that players who were not vaccinated would be allowed to enter the country if they received an exception, needed by State State Victoria to apply for the player’s name.
But Victoria State Premier Daniel Andrews quickly decided it.

“There has been no official announcement or statement and until it comes out I will not talk about this again.” I don’t want to be part of the story about assumptions and what if it is.
“When official conditions and requirements for traveling and playing in Austarlia come out, I will see what I personally and also a bigger group of players because the situation is different in Australia until most of the world.” Djokovic Keener to focus on the end of the season as the number one world when he returned to the circuit for the first time since Danil Medvedev ended his hopes about a big sweep in September.
