MANGALURU: The Dakshina Kannada district government, while creating online enrollment for Covid-19 vaccination required for beneficiaries over 45 years in metropolitan locations, has booked 25% dosages for on-site enrollment exclusively for beneficiaries over 70 decades.
A conclusion in this respect was taken after complaints which scattering issued for vaccination in metropolitan Primary Health Centres (PHCs) have been offered in black market.
In the same way, PHCs in metropolitan regions have been seeing tremendous audiences at the wee hours .
The health department needed to notify police to control audiences in several PHCs recently.
Chaos prevailed on Friday also after individuals thronged many PHCs in metropolitan regions for vaccines without any enrollment.
Deputy commissioner Dr K Rajendra told reporters on Friday that beneficiaries must register enroll for vaccine during Cowin program to become inoculated at 12 metropolitan PHCs in Mangaluru town, and metropolitan health centers of Ullal, Bantwal and Puttur.
“Each vaccination facility will administer 75 percent of its own allotted shots to people who enrolled online.
Meanwhile, the PHCs will keep a dashing register to document the particulars of people over 70 decades and administer 25 percent of those ancestral vaccines to them priority,” he explained.
He explained compulsory registration will address the dilemma of chaos facing urban vaccine centers.
The district government is also likely to present mobile vaccine components to improve the vaccine policy.
People who received the initial dose of Covaxin could avail the next dose in all taluk hospitals and Wenlock District Hospital in Monday.
Even though the district has administered the first dose of Covaxin into 35,000 beneficiaries, 20,000 have obtained the next dose,” he added.
