DK school to open in-people after six months today

Mangaluru: After a gap of nearly six months, schools in Dakshina Kannada District are ready to be reopened on Friday.
Children who miss the school environment anxiously waiting to return to campus.
Meanwhile, the Department of Public Teaching under the administrative guidance of Dakshina Kannada District, has made a complicated arrangement to welcome students back to school.
According to the District Administration, the class for Grade VIII, IX and X will be reopened for classes in Friday and Class VI and VII from Monday.
“Children are happy to be able to return to campus, especially those who study in government schools.
In fact, they were ready to come to school a few months ago, but the government did not allow it, because of the high level of covid in this district.

Malleswamy, DDPI, Dakshina Kannada told Ti that class in-people for class VI to X would be divided into two parts – morning and evening sessions – to avoid rush at school.
From Friday, classes for class IX and X will be held in the morning until 1.30 in the afternoon and class VIII students will have classes in the afternoon until 4:30 a.m., while the class for Grade VI and VII starts on Monday, which will be held in the morning .
“In-people will be held for five days, from Monday to Friday, throughout the district, for now.
However, the presence is not compulsory.
All school campuses have been cleaned and dissed according to the SOP.” All children must carry a signed letter by parents, to confirm that their ward has no symptoms of Covid-19.
Children are asked to carry their own water bottle, and the school can arrange hot water.
Not only the campus is cleaned and disseminated by the authorities, but some schools have been decorated with flowers and bunts, to welcome children back to school.
