DK Schools prepared for the SSLC exam in the middle of a pandemic

Mangaluru: The school in Dakshina Kannada (DK) prepares for SSLC examination, in the midst of the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
All schools have completed their syllabus, which has been reduced by 80%, because of a pandemic.
The state government said that the SSLC examination will be held as usual, such as before a pandemic, without relaxation.
With this, schools in this district are now preparing for inspection with enthusiasm, although many students and teachers have Covid-19.
Shamanth V M, Nodal Officer for SSLC examination, district DK, told TOI that at present, all schools in the district have completed their syllabus.
DK plans for exclusive examinations for SSLC students, with letters of questions framed by the teacher.
Examination is called Practice Paper.
It forms 80% of the syllabus, so students are aware and ready to face questions that appear in the final exam.
Practice papers, which are liberal examinations to familiarize students in the current syllabus, will be held from Monday.
The general preparation examination held in all states is scheduled for February 21.
School teachers in the district, afraid of lumbers worn and the closure of schools that can inhibit their studies, have elasticized syllabus well.
Shambhu Shankar, Coordinator, Block Resource Center, Belthangady, said that despite the number of cases of Covid-19 in the district, and many students and teachers have been infected with the SARS COV-2 virus, it has not stopped the learning process at school.
School continues as usual, except in institutions with five or more Covid-19 cases, which must be closed for a week.
The only problem faced by school is chronic attendance.
A public instruction official department said that around 5% of SSLC students continue to be absent from classes every day.
The numbers are a little high this time, because the presence is not strict because of the pandemic.
“However, secondary school teachers try our best to track these children and take them to school,” the official said.
