DLSA starts drive mass awareness on legal rights

Ranchi: The District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) on Saturday launched an impulse ‘Awareness and outreach for six weeks to educate the masses of their legal rights and government welfare schemes.
The campaign, which will be held until November 14, is part of the Pan-India Pan-Indian awareness program of national law services (NALSA).
This scheme is designed to empower people, especially those who live in rural areas, tribes and remote.
DLSA plans to educate people in the NalSa scheme, mediation of litigation and pre-litigation, human trafficking and rehabilitation of children affected by drug abuse.
It will also hold special camps for Prison inmates Birsa Munda and senior citizens and collect applications for free legal assistance.
This drive aims to cover every village in the district.
Previously on that day, Judicial and District Administrative Officers, members of the Association of Ranchi District and Mediator DLSA along with the lawyer panel issued ‘Prabhat Pheri’ from the multi-purpose hall in Kanke Road to the District Court.
Secretary of the DLSA Kamla Kumari said that the volunteers of the laws distributed pamphlets and leaflets related to legal rights among people, including vegetable sellers, construction workers, automatic drivers, and janitor workers, along the way.
The participants, including Commissioner of Judisi Navneet Kumar, Garlanded a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Civil Court before marking the legal awareness van for Kanke.
Additional Judicial Commissioner-1 S K Sashi, the main judge in the Family Court of Rashikesh Kumar, Judicial Judge Binay Kumar Lal and the other judges were present on the occasion.
