Noida: Rehabilitation and resettlement schemes for families will be forced to submit their property to make the way for Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) in Dadri, it has been approved by the commissioner of the Meerut division.
With this development, district administration is now a closer step in starting the process of marking the land needed in four Dadri villages for ambitious projects.
To put the track for the delivery corridor between the National and Mumbai capital, the DMIC Development Corporation requires around 84 hectares of land in four villages of Dadri – Chithehra, Kathehra, Palla and Bodaki.
A previous social impact assessment study was assigned to find out the family statues that came under the project’s impact.
According to research by the Gautam Buddha University, around 1,764 families will be affected because the project is key to increasing economic activity in the Ghaziabad-Dadri-Noida investment area.
From them, 531 people have land needed for projects while the rest of making their livelihood through the land parcel.
Among them seven families from Kathehra, close to GT Road, will be very hit.
The district government has held several public hearings to compile the objections and advice of local residents.
“Group seven families have been awarded flat in the Omicron 1A sector from Greater Noida.
Other formalities are also being completed before we begin to take over the land,” said the Additional District Judge (land acquisition) Balram Singh.
After compiling the affected population response, the administration sent his report to the Meerut Division Commissioner on September 9, officials said.
“We have received approval from the Commissioner to notify section 17 (2) under compensation and transparency of the right to land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement, 2013,” said an officer from the Dadri Sub-Division.
“We will publish a rehabilitation and resettlement plan for the affected family, after we begin limiting the land needed for the project.”
