Chennai: The DMK Government will present his first budget, since it ruled in May this year, on August 13.
The revised budget for 2021-22, it will also be the first non-paper budget for the country.
The state government will present his first agricultural budget on August 14.
Tamil Governor Nadu Purohit Purohit has summoned the Assembly on August 13, Secretary of the Srinivasan Assembly said in the official release.
Before the budget, the Minister of State for Finance and Human Resources PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan will present white paper in Tamil Nadu’s country for the past 10 years under the AIADMK government from 2011 to 2021.
Since DMK in power, Thiagarajan has driven away about serving white paper to light the burden State finance, staggered under major debt, with a sheet of more than Rs 4.85 lakh crore, especially because of the many because of the previous AiaDMK regime.
Meanwhile, the DMK government is interested in presenting a paperless budget from this year and so on.
“MLA will get a personal computer in their tables and tablets with the government for a non-paper budget.
The work to put the computer in the table is progressing now,” said an official.
The revised budget will be presented by Thiagarajan in Kalaivanar Arangam, multipurpose space which doubled as a state assembly during Covid, at 10 am next Friday.
Former Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam presented the temporary budget for 2021-22 on February 23, ahead of the election of the State Assembly.
