Chennai: The DMK Party and its allies swept the rural local agency poll winning 138 out of a total of 140 Panchayat districts and pocketed more than 1,000 of the total 1.381 Panchayat Union Ward in nine districts released.
DMK won 128 Panchayat Wards Regency while the Ally Congress won seven, MDMK won two and VCK one.
