Thiruvananthapuram: The DNA test results announced on Tuesday confirmed that the baby who was caught in the row of adoption was the son of Anupama S Chandran and his partner Ajid claimed by them.
The child, was handed over to care for couples in Hyderabad, brought to the state on Sunday.
The Minister of Health and Welfare of the Family of Veena George said the results of the DNA test would be submitted soon in court.
The legal source said the Child Welfare Committee could give children to temporary care to Anupama and his partner Ajith and obtained a decision ratified by the family court or waited for the direction of the court.
The court has posted the next hearing on November 30.
“The court has clearly directed the CWC to make the right decision and no one stopped him to surrender the child to the pair in the light of the DNA test results.
However, the family court has the word final.
The possibility of the court will do so in certain conditions,” said the sources from Government.
Anupama has alleged that his child prepared to be adopted by his parents, both local CPM leaders, without permission and CPM leaders and police have helped them in illegal adoption.
The results of the DNA matching test from the Biotechnology Center Rajiv Gandhi came from the start.
Anupama who looked happy was less than the words when he heard the news.
“I’m very happy,” he said.
Within a few hours, CWC accepted their request and allowed Anupama and Ajith to meet children in Nirmala Sisubhavan, which was almost not 4 km from the office of the Child Welfare Council where the couple had protested.
They are allowed to enter into conditions that no one else is allowed to see the baby and their cellphones should not be taken.
After spending a few minutes with the child, the couple came out.
Anupama said he wanted to get his rights and the child appeared happy under foster care.
“He looks fine.
That’s about his sleep when we entered.
He fell asleep when we came out.
I hope the authorities will speed up the process of handing it to us,” he said.
