Patna: Minister of Nitish Kumar’s head on Saturday instructed officials to further increase the number of Covid-19 tests per day at Bihar.
He also asked them to have enough oxygen supply in the state and reach the six-crore vaccination target more people in the next six months.
When reviewing ongoing vaccination drives and Covid tests in the state, CM appreciates the health department to load the virus that spreads after a massive surge in the second wave recently.
He said Bihar is now 24 among countries in terms of Covid-19 infection, even though it is the third most populous country in this country.
“Covid-19 testing and vaccination is being carried out on a large scale.
We must increase it further.
More tests will help in detecting positive people Covid-19 and controlling the spread of the virus,” CM said and advised people to remain cautious and Maintaining Covid’s appropriate behavior.
He also appreciated the Ministry of Health to take a few steps for the treatment of black mushroom patients and controlling AES cases in the state.
Nitish said the central government provides vaccines and now the state must reach vaccination targets.
The Additional Health Department of Pratyaya Pratyaya Secretary Amrit assessed CM about the Covid-19 situation, wise data of the district on the test and vaccination, AES cases and the situation of the time-azar throughout the state and efforts were made to overcome the problem.
Meanwhile, 136 new Covid-19 cases and five official deaths registered in the state on Saturday.
These new cases contrary to 11.08.14 samples tested in the last 24 hours where 284 people recovered and active cases fell to 1,539 in the state.
From new cases, the maximum 22 registered in Patna, followed by Purnia (16).
Seven districts have zero cases while the remaining others have less than ten cases a day.
