Thiruvananthapuram: Former devaswom Union Kadakamapally Surendran stated in the meeting he hasn’t apologized for the events that happened about entry of girls in Sabarimala.
“I’d just said the violence which happened during the holiday period was most unlucky.
I never dreamed for anything occurred there.
However, my statement had been blown out of proportion and has been forced to a controversy,” he said, while talking in the meeting.
“If I’d come out with a correction afterward it could have turned into a separate controversy,” he added.
While engaging in the discussion on thanksgiving movement for governor’s speech, resistance leader D Satheesan stated,”Kadakamapally Surendran expressed sorrow over the LDF administration’s stand from the Sabarimala problem prior to the elections” Back in March,Surendran had stated during election that”the events that occurred in Sabarimala on the women-entry issue shouldn’t have occurred and it was unfortunate.
” In addition, he explained the LDF authorities would apply the Supreme Cour’s ultimate decision on entrance of girls just after discussions with all believers.
