The businessman Raj Kundrra, was arrested in a case related to the alleged creation of pornographic films and published it through several applications, on Tuesday was sent in police custody until July 23 by the Mumbai court.

The police claimed that there were several WhatsApp chat which revealed Kundrra (45), the husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, involved in the financial transaction of the application and its contents.
Resources revealed, “The main evidence in the arrest of Raj Kundra is a WhatsApp chat between Kundra and its partners with respect to pornographic content.”

According to reports on various news portals, employers and partners reported making financial benefits for RS 1.85 lakh songs produced through direct income and more than Rs 4.50 lakh through film sales on the application.
Further reports stated that the income of the month to date (MTD) walked as high as Rs 60 Lakh with around 20 lakh registration to the application.
The police, while looking for maximum prisoners Kundrra, told the court that the businessman economically got by making and selling pornographic materials.

In their remand records, the police accused the people accused of “making profits in Lakh in this illegal business made pornographic films and uploaded the same through several cellular applications taken from viewers”.
The police further accused that porn material was uploaded on the ‘Hotshots’ application developed by the company, Prime Pvt Ltd weapon, owned by Kundra.
The police also said three women had advanced with complaints in this case, said they were “forced to act in pornographic films”.
People who are accused of taking advantage of models that are struggling, actors and other workers, and make them work in these pornographic films, police said in a report about PTI, adding that these films were shot at rented bungai in Mumbai.

Kundra was detained on Monday night by the City Police Crime Branch after being ordered under the relevant parts of the Indian criminal code and information technology law.
The police also arrested others, identified as Ryan Thorpe, who worked in senior position with application companies, from his office along with Kundra after investigating this issue, an official said.
They said other people accused of suffering from Umesh Kamat, a former Kundra employee, told the police that the application was then sold to Kenrin Pvt Ltd, a C owned by the relative Kundra Pradeep Bakshi.
The police said they had confiscated Kundrra cellphones and contents need to be studied and also business transactions and transactions must be seen.
They said the interrogation of Kustodian Kundrra was needed because he had to be faced with another accused in this case.

Appeared for Kundrra, Senior Adviser Aabad Ponda and Advocate Subhash Jadhav opposed police requests for detention and said the investigation into this case could be done without custodian interrogation.
Ponda argued that the police had to issue calls to Kundrra first and recorded his statement, instead of arresting it directly in the case listed in February this year.
The judge, after listening to the argument, issued orders camping Kundrra and Thorpe in police custody until July 23.

Previously, the police on Monday said Kundra seemed to be a “key conspirator” of this case.
There were cases registered with the Mumbai crime branch in February 2021 concerning the creation of pornographic films and published them through several applications, said a senior police officer.
