New Delhi: Secretary General of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday almost dropped himself as the party’s face in the election of the Uttar Pradesh assembly but did not confirm whether he would oppose polls or not.
“Do you see another face from the Congress Party,” he said when asked who would be the face of the party minister in the poll.
“You see my face everywhere,” Congress leader added while overcoming a press conference to release the party’s ‘Manifesto’ party with his brother and former President Rahul Gandhi.
Asked whether he would follow the assembly poll, Priyanka Gandhi said, “We haven’t decided.” He said he would be known once it was decided.
Priyanka Gandhi, who is the Secretary General responsible for Congress at Uttar Pradesh, said the party would definitely check other parties if the situation appeared after the election.
However, he said that Congress would apply his vision for young people, especially women, at Uttar Pradesh as a priority while extending the support for the government’s establishment
