JAIPUR: Acute surveillance and operating in tandem using Karauli authorities paid off to Bharatpur authorities when they arrested one of the principal accused of the murder case of Bharatpur’s physician bunch on Tuesday.
The accused was concealing at the ravines near Suorth village of Karauli because last couple of days.
The accused, identified as Mahesh Gujjar (23), was riding the bicycle which intercepted the physician pair’s car on May 28.
“Gujjar was shot to Bharatpur amid tight security.
We’ve got concrete clues regarding another detained, Anuj Gujjar, that took the bunch,” explained Bharatpur SP Devendra Bishnoi.
Senior police officials said that the arrest was due to teamwork as Bharatpur Range IG Prashan Kumar Khamesra had especially asked SPs of Bharatpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur to ease each other.
“A particular input his existence at Karauli was shared with authorities.
Then, a group containing nearly 300 policemen started search operations where the accused has been found, taken into custody and later detained,” said a senior officer.
Anuj and Mahesh Gujjar arrived on a bicycle and intercepted Dr Sandeep Gupta’s who had been driving a vehicle on May 28.
Anuj, that had coated his head with a towelopened fire and killed Dr Sandeep and his wife Seema Gupta.
It was called revenge killing from the Bharatpur authorities as the physician couple had murdered Anuj’s husband and her six-year-old kid in 2019.
