Ghaziabad: Doctor’s house allegedly split and valuables worth more than Rs 4 Lakh was stolen from there.
According to the police, the victim was identified as Niharika Kesarwani, a doctor who worked at the MMG Hospital, who lived in the hospital quarter.
In accordance with FIR, the crime took place between October 30 to November 10, when Kesarwani went to celebrate Diwali with his parents in Allahabad.
On November 10, around 1:30 a.m., when he returned to his house, he found that the gate was open and the valuables were lost from almirah.
He immediately told the police in 112 and a team reached the place.
After a while, he filed a written complaint with the police where he said that the defendant had taken a gold necklace worth Rs 1.10 lakh along with other ornaments and other cellphones.
However, the police took a week to register firm in this case.
Jogendra Kumar, an investigative officer, told TII that on the basis of complaints, a FIR was registered at the Kotwali police station under the Section 380 (the penalty of theft) IPC.
The police checked the nearest CCTV footage to get instructions about the suspect.
This year, more than 450 cases of theft were reported until October 30.
