Coimbatore: Doctor Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Saturday releasing the damaged Canula stuck in a vein of a 28 year old woman.

While he was accepted for the tubal ligation procedure to prevent pregnancy, a health worker put the Canula on his elbow.
Some of the Canula broke out while removed by the nurse after the procedure and trapped in his numerial.
When the woman complained of pain in her elbow, the doctor said the operation was needed to remove damaged pieces and referring it to CMC.
The woman rushed to CMC on Saturday and the operation was carried out within one hour.
Cmch Dean A Nirmala called it an unusual case.
“Although not sure whether the product is damaged, manual errors cannot be ruled out in this case because the Canula is not easily broken, as happened in this matter,” he said.
