VISAKHAPATNAM: Senior anaesthesiologist Dr K Sudhakar, 55, who had been suspended a year for expressing concern over alleged lack of PPE kits in a hospital at Visakhapatnam, died Friday after having a cardiac arrest.
Dr Sudhakar has been the very first government physician to communicate concern over shortage of infrastructure to fight the pandemic past calendar year.
He had been suspended on behavioural grounds on April 8, 2020.
On May 16, he had been manhandled by police along with the Andhra Pradesh HC purchased a CBI probe.
He had lately recovered in Covid.
“The courtroom was supposed to announce its final decision on April 27.
If there wasn’t any news , he slipped in to melancholy,” P Vijayakumar, a buddy, told TOI.
