Doctors and paramedics will be trained in Covid-19 management: Minister of Health Karnataka

Bengaluru: Medical staff and paramedics in Karnataka will be trained about Covid-19 management, Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar on Friday.
Speaking in the inauguration of the training program organized by the State Ministry of Health for doctors in Bengaluru Urban, Sudhakar said the vaccine was given to those over 18 years old but experts had argued that infection could also spread to those under the age of 18.

Doctors in all districts will be given training on this matter.
“We open a special division for children’s care in each district hospital.
We have provided the workforce needed for that purpose,” said Sudhakar.
According to him, the necessary steps have been taken according to the recommendations of the Committee on the third wave management of Covid-19, led by Dr.
Devi Prasad Shetty.
“The Covid virus changes itself and even developed countries are struggling to deal with it.
Lindia has succeeded in handling the first wave when compared to other countries.
Infrastructure has increased significantly before the second wave.
One doctor has been appointed,” Sudhakar said.
He emphasized the need to be careful when Karnataka shared the border with Kerala and Maharashtra and remained vigilant to ensure that safety measures had existed since the infection was still very common.
The Minister congratulated Bengaluru’s medical team because of the lead in the vaccination drive.
Talking about the Video Conference of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the main ministers on Friday, he said the Chairman of Minister B Yediyurappa had asked the center to supply five doses of the lakh vaccine every day.
“We have targeted to vaccinate 1.5 crore people in one month.
Already 2.4 Crore people have been vaccinated so far.
We expect more vaccines this month,” he said.
“Prime Minister urges us to be more careful and has instructed the state to follow the micro-detention zone policy and increase vaccine coverage,” the Minister said.
According to him, the center has provided Rs 23,000 Crore to improve health infrastructure.
