Nagpur: Doctor Mbbs, who was asked to join their compulsory bond services in 49 Rural Health centers (PHCs) in Nagpur Regency, have been waiting for salaries for the past five months now.
However, medical officers in other districts in the state are getting a regular salary.
About 40 doctors like that in Nagpur Regency have blamed the Zilla Parishad government because they did not ensure that their salaries were released on time.
“I am from the Mbbs Batch 2015.
Together with others, I was asked to join rural services in March this year because there was a shortage of severe medical officers.
Our PG-NEET examination was delayed twice and we lost the opportunity for PG.
However, we joined With service and start working.
This is September now and no one receives a salary until now, “said a doctor.
“I am 25 years old and work for the past six months.
I must continue to depend on money from my parents.
Isn’t that embarrassing? Why did they want to call our Covid Warriors,” said the doctor did not want to reveal his name.
With a list of those who have not received their extraordinary salary, doctors regularly approach district health workers about this issue.
“Every time, we believe that funds have been released and our salary will be credited in the next 2-3 days.
This has been going on for 5 months now,” another doctor said.
Dr.
Deepak District Health Officer Selokar also gave the same reply to Toi.
“Grants have been released and salaries will be credited in the next 2-3 days,” he said.
The doctors who work in rural PHCs get a salary of Rs 75,000 per month.
The Director of State Health Services Dr.
Archana Patil said this problem was Nagpur Regency.
“We have released a grant at eight divisions and no one has a complaint,” he said.
Toi spoke to Deputy Director of Heath service in Akola, Dr.
Rajkumar Chavan.
He said no doctor complained in the division.
“Sometimes it takes one or two months to process salary and then become ordinary,” he said.
DDHS Nagpur Dr.
Sanjay Jaiswal said that the problem will be resolved in one or two days.
Doctors who join bond services must work all the time.
They have worked widely during the Covid period.
