Documents provide fake life certificates, face fee fees

Chennai: Two doctors, including a doctor Lady doctor, faced the process of the medical council for violations, because they had issued ‘live certificates’ to the dead.
Government doctors at the Royapettah Government Hospital at the Level of Civil Assistant Surgeons, which published a certificate of life to a dead man, who committed suicide by suicide, called by the Tamil Nadu medical council, an APEX body that regulates medical practices in the country.
Dr.
R Shanthini issued a medical certificate on January 10, 2018 to R Krishnakumar, three years after the man ended his life in July 2015.
Two days later his life certificate was used to sell property on his name.
In November 2019, Krishnakumar’s wife filed a complaint with a council stating the “false” certificate by a doctor helped his relatives to sell property illegally without consultation with legal heir.
In the others, complaints on December 19, 2020, R Vinod Kumar based in Bangalore said that Hosur based in Dr.
KP Badri Prasad conspires with one M Narasimhan to issue a fake life certificate for two women – Sabitha J and Shylaja Jayasurya – about a year after Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Puee (BBMP) issued a certificate of their deaths.
While Sabitha had died on October 16, 2019, his mother Shylaja died on July 18, 2020.
However, on September 7, 2020, Dr.
KP Badri Prasad based in Hosur issued them “live certificates for the purpose of document registration based on the power of lawyers”.
On December 19, 2020, Vinodh Kumar filed a complaint against Dr.
Badri Prasad.
On January 19 the board sent him a memorandum looking for an explanation for complaints.
“This complaint is under violations and is a serious violation of the code of ethics of the TN medical council (professional etiquette and ethics),” said the President of the Medical Council of Tamil Nadu Dr.
Senthil.
The following month, Dr.
Badri Prasad wrote to the council stating that he was cheated by a Narasimhan carrying two women “who resembled” to his clinic and that he could not see them clearly when they sat 6 feet away because of a pandemic.
Dr.
Prasad said his face shield and plastic curtains among them made it difficult for him to see their faces clearly.
He also urged the council to verify the authenticity of the BBMP certificate.
Certificates are also available on the BBMP web page.
While the State Council called for the process of discipline against the two doctors, the Board also planned to organize an awareness program for doctors and community members for legal provisions.
Over the past two years, the Board has received complaints against doctors who issue a fake certificate for death and life, he said.
“We want our doctors to know that things like that can land them in trouble.
They may not only lose their license, but may also have criminal demands framed against them,” said Dr.
Senthil.
