Does the city building have a panzish for rain? The panel will investigate

Noida: With some parts of the city flooded, the District Environment Committee (DEC) has begun an investigation and seek a report on the status of a rainwater harvesting system in the residential and commercial complex communities.
All such construction under Noida and the larger Noida Authority should have a rainwater harvesting system, according to building regulations.
Some public parks have also installed it.
But officials said that there was no assessment of how many plants operated in all districts.
“The rainwater harvesting system is very important for refilling ground water.
Land water level Noida has been low and thinning every year.
Therefore, it is important to maintain the rainwater harvesting system,” said Vikrant Tongad, an environmental activist and member of December.
Officials say all local authorities will be asked to report the status of a rainwater harvesting system.
“The authorities will give us an update on the system and how this can help refill ground water.
This report will be discussed at the Committee meeting next month,” said Suhas Ly, District Judge and Chair of the Committee.
The committee will also prepare reports on illegal RO water plants in all districts.
Previously, the administration had received complaints about two plants like that last month closed.
“There are hundreds of small and large plants in the district and they use groundwater.
Most of them may not be needed if the local authority water supply system becomes regular.
We will help administration to find such plants,” said Tongad.
December also searched for a list of waterbodies, wetlands and solid waste management factories in complaints from districts and residents on the waste management system.
Officials said the environmental plan had been prepared for next year.
