Dogs are beaten to death in Adimathura: Police record the arrest of two young men

Thiruvananthapuram: Vizhin police investigating the murder of a pet dog at Adimathura nearby has captured two young men regarding this case.
Arrest is Sunil, 22, and Siluvayyan, 20, both Adalmathura residents.
They were accused of under Section 429 IPCs related to intentional murders from every animal of Rs 50 or more.
The dog owner, Sony P, has been mentioned in his complaint that the dog was bought at a price of Rs 7,000 eight years ago.
If it is found guilty below this section, the defendant will get a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison.
The police said that the defendant was arrested on Wednesday night, a few hours after they registered this case.
Because the charges called proven, they were given a guarantee at 11pm.
The police have also ordered a 17-year-old young man in connection with this case.
Because he was underage, they did not catch him.
However, a report will be immediately submitted before the Juvenile District Justice Council gave them his involvement in crime.
Crime allegedly took place on Monday morning.
The dog, Bruno, owned by Sony and his family who lived near Adimathura Beach, was destroyed to death by the group to rest under one of their ships.
The defendant hung the dog using fishing hooks and thrashing with stems while their friends recorded videos.
The incident produced extensive public anger after the video, which was posted by Sony Christuraj’s brother on FB, became a viral.
Meanwhile, Christuraj and Sony received the threat of death from the defendant as soon as the video became a viral.
On Thursday, the district chapter for animals (PFA) came offering support to the family.
Sredevi S Karttha PFA said that they intervened in this case to ensure that the family did not draw their complaints due to pressure.
“There are two types of punishment to kill animals.
If it deviates and there is no value, the sentence is a penalty that does not exceed RS100.
If it is a pet worth Rs 50 or more, the quantum of punishment will be greater.
PFA has made efforts to provide awareness Law to the family and ensure that people accused are given the right sentence, “he said.
