Puducherry: Puducherry government has asked US Health and Family Welfare Ministry to direct the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) to allow 44 students from the Territory of Puducherry to enroll MBBS counseling under the category of Domicile Puducherry.
In a letter addressed to the Assistant Director General (ME), the Directorate General for Health and the Committee Counseling Medical (MCC) Secretary An Srinivas, Director (Welfare Services Health and Family) and Nodal Officer (Test Entrance Human Sign National NEET) G Sriramulu said the students have entered the ‘Tamil Nadu or Andhra Pradesh or Kerala’ rather than ‘Puducherry’ in the ‘State / UT from where the 12 / equivalent pass / come out’ in the application form NEET and hence their names missing.

He filed a request in this regard in a letter addressed to Jipmer Dean (academic).
The government has previously sent the results of NEET UG 2021 from Puducherry to Jipmer domicile students sought by the dean (academics).
However, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services began receiving many representations from Puducherry domicile students stating that they can not apply for admission to MBBS Jipmer counseling institute since 5025 only gives provision to the influx of students for enrollment in the field.
