‘Don’ Crew breaks Covid norms, booked

Coimbatore: The film crew Sivakarthikeyan-Starrer ‘Don’ was booked on Monday for shooting at Animalai near the Pollachi without getting permission from the parties concerned.
More than 500 people from the villages inside and around Animalai have appeared at the location by throwing prevention steps Covid-19 to the wind to watch the shooting.
The revenue department official has imposed a fine of Rs 19,400 on crew members for violating Covid-19 norms.
A police officer said the film director Sibi Chakkaravarthy and the crew had fired several film scenes in Mukkonam and Athupalam near Animalai, where the large crowd attacked without maintaining social distance and raising a face mask etiquette, on that day.
When the police sub-inspector analyzes Chinnakanai and the team learned about film shooting, they rushed to the place and spread the crowd.
Deputy Supervisor of Police Srinivasan (Sub-Division of Valparai) and Animalai Tahsildar Vijayakumar also reached the place and conducted an investigation.
Meanwhile, the officer said, the community began gathering at the shooting location again.
Immediately, officials intervened and stopped shooting films, he said.
“The film crew did not obtain permission to photograph in the area.
Police Animalai has registered a case against Sibi Chakkaravarthy and 30 members of his crew below 269 (negligent act tends to spread a dangerous disease infection for life), 271 (disobedience to the rules of quarantine) from the KUHAP and parts 3 acts of epidemic disease, “the officer said.
