Donate for needy at JMC happiness shop

JAIPUR: Residents can now donate their belongings to the needy at the ‘Khushiyon ki Dukaan’ (Happiness shop) opened by JMC-Heritage.
The concept is inspired from the ‘Wall of Kindness’ in which a wall was assigned and people could hang their old clothes for the needy.
It first started in Iran and was later on adopted in many parts of the world, including various cities in India.
Jaipur also has a Wall of Hope in Jagatpura, inaugurated in 2020 by department of social justice.
On the orders of directorate of local bodies, a happiness shop was opened in JMC-Heritage in Walled City.
Nodal officer of National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) Anita Gupta said, “Residents of the city can just walk in our headquarters and donate their old things in room No-222.
The items should be in good condition.” Apart from this, two shelter homes run by JMC-Heritage have also been assigned for this work.
One shelter home is on Hasanpura Road, Hatwara and other near railway station have been assigned.
The officer in-charge of the shelter homes will be taking care of the belongings registered and every one taking anything from there have to register as well.
According to the plan of the JMC-Heritage, this will be further implemented in other shelter homes in the city.
Clothes, utensils, shoes, slippers, winter clothes, toys, stationery, books and other items can be donated at the happiness shop.
