Kolkata: This city recorded the donation of the second organ within a week on Friday when the 38-year-old family agreed to contribute his organs after the doctor said his brain died at Ruby General Hospital.
Bithika Ghosal kidneys will be taken and transplanted until Friday night.
Before this, the country recorded five dust donations this year.
Homemaker Uttarpara was a bicycle riding her husband on July 3 because the duo headed to the wedding ceremony.
Bithika fell from a bicycle that suffered a severe head injury.
He was taken to the Bypass Hospital at the WEE Hours of July 4.
“A team led by the Different Experts Neurosurgeon Av Prasana conducted an emergency operation on the night itself.
Apart from all our efforts could not save him,” said General Ruby Hospital General Manager ( Operation) Subhashis Datta.
When finding a signal that the patient suffered, the death of the brain stem, the doctor received information about the situation of Pradip Ghosu’s husband, a teacher in a private school.
“I tried the best and so did the doctors.
But I was told that my wife died her brain while all her organs were still alive.
The doctor said I could donate her organs so she continued to live in someone else,” Pradip said.
Both kidneys have been allocated to SSKM and Charnock Hospital.
This will be the surgery of the deceased organ transplant of the Charnock Hospital.
