Amravati: Guardian District Minister Yashomati Thakur has warned energy department officials not to act like England while recovering farmer electricity bills.
In a meeting with officers various departments on Friday, Thakur asked them to sympathize with the farmers.
Thakur has received a number of complaints from farmers about the authorities who demanded the payment of electricity bills in a road and also cut off those who failed to clean the bill in full.
Following this, Thakur asked the official to receive any amount experienced by farmers in a position to pay.
“Even though the Department of Energy is also under financial pressure, you cannot behave like England, who used to recover taxes and Cess forcibly in India during their government, while collecting electricity bills from farmers,” he told officials.
Also suggest them to carry out the asleep process as possible.
Meanwhile, Thakur also expressed displeasure of the performance of the coach appointed in the Amravati division sports complex.
The Guardian Minister also held the officers responsible for the appointment of the coach without consultation.
“There is no politics that must be played in sports,” said Thakur, adding there should be no negligence in the affairs of the division sports complex.
“The authorities must take care of both – games and players, if the right action will be taken,” said Thakur, “said Thakur.
The Guardian minister also expressed disappointed with the report that officers did not listen to collectors or commissioners.
