Lucknow: Secretary General of Congress Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday advised party workers not to be “scared” and worked all the time to win the election of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly next year.
The leader of the Congress, who has held a meeting with parties since his arrival in Lucknow on Friday, told Congress workers at the party headquarters, “If the organization looks today, it’s because of you.
If the Congress has come in the discussion, it’s because of you.” All must be proud that organizations have the presence in all Panchayats and training programs being held in all districts, after which the Panchayat Gram Committee will be established, he said.
“I ask you all of that from today to the election, set a 24-hour work target, don’t stop or be afraid.
You have to line forward with strength and win the election,” he said.
Congress leader asked party workers to connect with people’s problems, struggles and emotions.
“When you connect with it and enter new people in the organization and take senior leaders, then we can together fight this battle,” he said.
He also told party workers for discipline.
“You have to win the election but don’t forget that discipline is also important to fight,” he said.
Meanwhile, the top congress in a series of tweets criticized the state government over the crime issues of women.
“The BJP government has become identical to crimes against women.
The upcoming countries will provide a reply to the anti-women government,” said the Congress over.
A spokesman for the State Congress Ashok Singh also praised Priyanka’s visit to SP workers who were allegedly attacked by BJP activists in the main Panchayat election block.
“Both Hathras, Sonbhadra in the past and Lakhimpur Kheri today, he has become the first leader to meet with family members affected by tragedy,” he said.
