Villupuram: PMK Founder-Leader Samadoss said people should not be forced to learn Hindi with their mother’s tongue.
Ramadoss took to Twitter to register his protest in the comments of the minister of home Union Amit Shah that the country would develop only when all Indians used their official language of Hindi.
“It is an act of imposing Hindi indirectly,” he said.
The PMK leader said it was not wrong to encourage people to use Hindi on Hindi Day Diving.
“But it claims that the country will develop only when people use Hindi has a hidden agenda.
It’s wrong.
It shouldn’t be said like that,” he said.
He showed that there was a long request waiting to make all 22 languages, including Tamil, in the eighth schedule of the Indian Constitution as the official language.
“This center must immediately meet the demand and ensure linguistic equality,” he said.
