Yuva Sena, Shiv Sena student wings, has written a letter to the Department of School Education not to conduct an exam during Ganeshotsav next month.
Most schools may have an online unit or semester exam next month.
With a festival to be held from September 10-19, Sena wrote to the Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad, stating that students tend to travel to their village for the festival.
The school is expected to be closed for five days during the Ganesh festival.
