‘Don’t let your safeguard against Covid’

Patna: Even as a good percentage of the population of adults in this country has been vaccinated against Covid-19, fear of a pandemic still looks great.
The latest spikes in Covid cases in the UK, Russia, Indonesia, Syria, Romania and several countries other than some Indian countries, including West Bengal, have caused concern among health experts.
Experts felt the emergence of a new variant of Coronavirus in different places pose a threat to the people.
Some new variants were able to escape from vaccine immunity, they said.
Covid is responsible for AIims-Patna.
Dr.
Sanjeev Kumar, say the new Delta variant (AY.
4.2) is very contagious and has been found even in parts of India, including Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
It can also enter Bihar because a large number of people from various countries will go home during the Chhath Festival.
The increase in Covid cases recently in West Bengal clearly reflects the transmission of viruses during the crowd of puja durga celebrations in Kolkata and elsewhere.
He warned people with the danger of being infected with the new strain of Coronavirus if they failed to follow Covid norms during the festival.
Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology (IGIC) Director Joint Dr.
A K Ashu said the fear of pandemics was still in Bihar and every weakness in parts of people could cause chaos.
Even vaccinated people need to adopt the appropriate behavior of Covid because the new Coronavirus mutation is still not clearly understood.
Mingling people who come from other states with a local population as long as CHHATH can surge in Covid cases.
In addition, even the efficacy of the vaccine in connection with the new mutant has not been studied properly so far, he said.
Dr.
Arun Shah’s doctor observed that at least 13,000 people reported died of Covid in Asia in the last 24 hours.
Unless the transmission chain is completely damaged, fear of the pandemic will continue.
He said 60 countries had less than 2% of their population vaccinated.
“There is nothing safe, except everyone is safe,” he said.
Nalanda Medical College, Superintendent representative Dr.
Satish Kumar stressed that there was no direct cause of worries in Bihar because not one case with a new Delta variant had been reported recently.
With more people who are vaccinated with doses, the state is prepared to overcome the emergence of a new variant of the virus.
However, he appealed to people to remain vigilant and follow the appropriate vovid behavior.
Dr.
Uday Krishna Jha Orthopedic Surgeon said people must be careful with the danger that will occur during the Chhath Festival.
People from every corner and corner of the country come to Bihar to participate in this godly festival and more often than not gathering on the banks of the river and pool.
Everyone comes from outside the country, especially from Kerala, Maharashtra and Karnataka, must be tested for Covid properly at their own arrival.
People have to wear a face mask while moving from their home, he said.
