Turugram: The Manesar Industry Association has condemned the ban on the diesel generator after the deteriorating air quality in the region and demanded the government to review his decision.
The appeal came at the time of 25 factories in the industrial area was sealed by the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) and the state pollution council.
Last week, Caqm had directed the administration of NCR Regency in the state to enforce a “strict” ban on the use of diesel generators, except for emergency purposes.
The factory owner has condemned the decision and appealed to the government to adopt a realistic approach to air pollution in NCR by regulating development activities in the region.
Part of them has even asked the government to limit the development of housing projects around industrial units.
“If you are developing an industrial zone, then, somewhere, you must stop building a housing project that is opposite each other.
If there is an industry, there will be pollution.
The industry must suffer on each subject.
If there is a lack of power, supply for industries reduced .
When pollution increased, we were forced to be closed, “said Pawan Yadav, President of the IMT industry association.
The factory owner shows that because the government cannot provide a smooth power supply, they have little choice but to use diesel generators.
Industry demands relaxation from the government when closing they will put up their losses at a time they try to revive the business after locking.
“The industry uses a generator to plug in the gap in the power supply.
The Commission must have a member of the industrial sector too.
We must be able to arrive at a peaceful solution,” said JN Mangla, President of the Gurugram Industry Association (GIA).
“We have written to the commission so we are allowed to function again.
They have asked us to send a letter to regional officers and prove that we will not use a generator without permission,” he added.
