Don’t mind memorial, but protecting schools: activists

Mysuru: NTM activist Horata Samithi and Niranjana Mutt Samrakshana Samithi and pro-Kannada organizations and farmers who have protested for more than 10 weeks, to preserve Kannada School (NTM) and side by side Niranjan Mutt, held a public meeting on Wednesday urging the government to take Immediate steps to preserve the school.
They took procession from the school campus to the DC office protected to provide education.
“We don’t mind in vivekananda warnings that are built but not at school fees,” they said.
Niranjana Mutt Veerashaiva Member Sejaga said without hurting anyone’s sentiment, the government must make decisions in protecting the school and Niranjana Mutt, and also building vivekananda warnings.
MLC D Protes D Madegowda who spoke on behalf of Ashrama asked activists to withdraw protest and let Ashrama build the warning.

They must respect the land law and respect the orders of the court, the government and the authorities concerned and make the way for the warning.

Barun Kumar, an advocate representing Ashrama, said according to the land record, the property belonged to Ashrama.
He said Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama was the owner of property law and had its right, but they were ‘prevented’ from taking ownership.
Ashrama President Swami Muktidanananandaji said they had approached the central and state government in this matter and was waiting for an answer.
