PANAJI: Minister of Tourism Manohar Ajgaonkar said on Monday that permission has not been given to the Edm Sunburn festival, but that the organizers have submitted a permit application.
This file has been forwarded to CM Pramod Sawant for a decision, he said.
“We have not given permission, or I have received the file.
I have sent the file to the main minister and the process is on,” he said, the day after Sunburn officially announced the date for the festival.
Ajgaonkar, however, said he supported the festival.
“If the Covid situation is under control,” he said to question if it must be permitted.
“PM has opened tourism.
We want tourists to come and if we want rich tourists visiting Goa, we need such an event.” Asked what was the establishment of the festival already promoting the event, he said he did not know, and said, “I have asked to the Director (Tourism) to see it “.
On Sunday, the festival organizers said that it would be held from December 28 to 30 on the vagator, and that only people who were doubled were permitted.
Last year, the festival did not occur due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
