NEW DELHI: The Assam government on Thursday advised people from the state not to travel to Mizoram in the midst of border disputes.
“People from Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as a threat to the personal safety of Assam people unacceptable,” the adviser said.
“People from Assam, live in Mizoram because of coercion related to work, must be fully careful.
This advice will take effect with the direct effects and be publicity for wider public knowledge and compliance,” he added.
Travel advisors came a few days after six Assam police personnel and a civilian killed and more than 50 injured during the bloody border clash between Assam and Mizoram on July 26.
