Don’t trouble people with hard horns: police

Milton.Wrencemysuru: After the police prohibit sales and use of vuvuzela type horns, the police are a warning user from causing all types of discomfort to fellow vehicle users and the public by blowing horns or high decibel noise.
Chandragupta City Police Commissioner on Saturday prohibits sales and use of low-cost horns after the inconvenience caused by the public.
City police are fast to seize locally made devices sold in public places.
Low-cost horns that produce loud sounds used by several young men on motorbikes to attract attention and frighten fellow road users.
The vendor who sells this horn comes from North India.
People come to town after mysuru Dasara celebration to make a living by selling trinkets including cheap devices.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) SE Gangadharswamy said special drives were carried out and the police seized voice-producing materials from sellers and adolescents using it after the prohibition of orders from the police commissioner.
“Public users or disturbing roads can be punished.
Even using squeaky horns or changed bicycle dampers attracting action.
Every user who violates the norms will be ordered,” he said.
A traffic inspector told Ti that guilty people were punished for norm violations.
However, the officers admitted that because of the lack of special drives of staff to curb violations including rash and negligence and driving three times not carried out regularly.
