Don’t want to spend 22 more weeks in bubbles: Mitchell Starc

New Delhi: Australia Pacer Mitchell Starc said that he needed to stay away from Bio-Bubble for a while to refresh his body for the next Australian international assignment.
He added that he did not want to spend 22 more weeks in bio-bubbles, so he chose to leave the Mega Premier Indian auction (IPL).
“I am clicking the button from entering the auction but personally don’t want to spend 22 more weeks in the bubble, it takes time to refresh the body, and for me, who prioritizes the Aussie game,” Star said as said by Espncricinfo.
Starc, even though he hinted back to the IPL for the first time since 2015, added that while he would be happy to return to the tournament, he needed to spend more time with his family.
“There will be a time where I want to go back to the IPL but in terms of wanting to play as much as I can for Australia, a multi-format player too, it’s a decision I took and it gave me the opportunity to spend time with Alyssa and family in eight weeks Outside the cricket bubble, “he said.
“The last two years, along with life today, there are many ups and downs.
You find a way to adapt, but it is a reflection of the support base that I have for two years too.” There must be times when I haven’t played my best cricket or of course for two years where I don’t want to play cricket.
I am very grateful for my supporting network and especially Alyssa, to play cricket at the highest level [and] being there to support me too, I can’t thank him for it ‘, “he added.
Starc recently part of The ash series and will play next in the three-match ODI series and one T20i against New Zealand at home, followed by the T20i series five matches against Sri Lanka in February.
