Ranchi: Psychiatric Center Institute (CIP), Institute of Medical Sciences Rajendra (RIMS), Gandhinagar Ranchi Hospital and Central Coalfield (CCL) will jointly conduct a door survey to the door to assess the mental health of covid victims.

Speaking with Toi on Monday, CIP Director Dr.

Also, we are waiting forward from the district government to start the survey.” He added, “We have written to Deputy Commissioner, asking for the contact details and other coordinates of Covid survivors.
We also request local permission and assistance, if needed, for surveys.
If everything goes well, we hope to start the survey in the first week of December.
“Two mental health experts from CIP, Rims and Hospital Gandhinagar CCL each will take part in the survey and all exercises, including the evaluation process, it will take around six months to complete it.
Dr.
Das further said that according to their previous studies / research, it revealed that around 20% -30% of the total covid victims had developed several types of mental illness.
“Some of them include post-traumatic disorders, the increase in substance addiction, anxiety and cognitive disorders, among others, it is also found that those who have the history of mental health problems and are cured through counseling or treatment, suffering in recurrence.
