Coimbatore: City Corporation has been vaccinated 160 of 220 parents and disabled people who request vaccination on the doorway.
The remaining people will vaccinate in one or two days, said a corporate official.
The Civic body has released a telephone number for the vaccination of the driveway threshold last week.
“People can still call and register for Doardstep Vaccination at 0422-2302323 or 9750554321.
The remaining dosage of the vaccination center will be used to vaccinate the elderly and with disabilities who live close to the centers,” said Mathankumar officials, the population.
Ukkadam, said the drive benefited several people like his son, who suffered from disability locomotor.
“I can’t take it to the vaccination center.
Officials call me to check whether we are at home and reach a few minutes to manage the vaccine,” he told Toi.
As as much as 76,817 doses are given as part of a dose of mass vaccination, including the 28.201 second dose.
The North Corporation zone gave a dose of 24, 920.
Followed by the West Zone with 14,628 doses, the South Zone with 13,182 doses, the central zone with 12,665 and the East Zone with 11,422 doses.
A total of 71,361 covishield doses are given, including 24,208 second doses.
As many as 5,456 covaxin doses were given, including 3,993 second dose.
With 1,51,685 doses given on Sunday, Coimbatore recorded the second highest vaccination rate in the state next to Chennai.
