Doranda College class is suspended after students show hijab support

Ranchi: The middle class in Doranda College was suspended on Thursday after a group of students held a demonstration to support wearing a hijab in the classroom.
Students’ template, including girls, shouting slogans both inside and wearing hijabs are religious rights.
The students said rights should not be the subject of controversy as happened in Karnataka.
They then said that HSA college administration has so far not prevented them from entering college wearing a headscarf.
In the end, students began to raise demand in college but was persuaded by college government to go outside.
They held a demonstration for a while in front of the college gate before the police intervened and spread them “the intermediary class has been suspended for an unlimited period at this time.
I will talk to local administration regarding the legal and order situation before deciding to continue the class.” Meanwhile, The police team was placed on campus to prevent unwanted incidents.
College staff are also wary of meeting students in one place and ordered to direct repair of CCTV cameras in the college building.
