Ghaziabad: Since July 1, this district only analyzed 1.4 lakh people, much lower than the target of 8 lakh that had been set for the month.
Officials say that with the number of doses they get every day, it is impossible to meet the July target.
“From July 1 to 12, we have managed to vaccinate only 1.43 lakh people and according to our plans, we must examinate around 6.6 lakh people on the day left in a month.
But given the lack of doses, it is impossible to meet the target,” said an official from the Ministry of Health.
“We only have 11,500 doses for Monday and from them, we use 10,270.
Tuesday, we get 17,000.
At this level, we will not be able to vaccinate too many people,” officially added.
This month, July 6 recorded a large portion of vaccination and 29,318 people took Jab in all districts.
But since then, the number of daily vaccination remains between 10,000 and 17,000.
“To add this, there is no drive vaccination held on Sunday.
This makes us only 17 more days this month to investigate people,” the official said.
“We are faced with a situation where we must reduce the number of vaccination centers to overcome low inventory.
We cannot operate a 90-odd vaccination center with the number of doses we get every day,” officially added.
In June, with a daily average of around 4,000 around 4.6 lakh people were vaccinated in the district.
This month, the daily average is around 12,000.
The targeted population of Ghaziabad is around 23 lakh and that around 8 lakh people are in the age group of 45 pluses.
Since January, when the drive began, 12 lakh people in the district were vaccinated.
