Dumka: The worshipers, who have taken the covid-19 vaccine dose, will be allowed to enter the Bukuninath temple on January 1, 2022, Dumka District Administration has announced.
While only adults who are immunized will fully be allowed to give their prayers, those under the age of 18 will not be allowed to enter the temple location.
This statement in this case was issued by the district public relations department on Thursday night.
The statement said the New Order was being carried out to prevent a surge in Covid-19 cases because of the new Omicron variant.
This order was issued by the District Administration after Deputy Commissioner Ravishankar Shukla, SP Ambar Lakda and other officers curled up at a meeting with Panda Dharam Rakshini Sabha, the Association of Temple Imams.
Like the Dham Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, the Bukukinath Temple in Dumka attracted thousands of people from all regions on New Year’s Day every year.
The additional spread of police forces will be carried out in and around the temple that day, the government said.
The announcement has caused differences of opinion among the priests of the temple.
“A large number of worshipers came to the temple of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
They will be deprived of offering prayers,” said a local priest.
“There is no effort from the government to ensure the right Covid behavior during the Dwar Sarkar APKe program in Dumka Town and the district rural part.
Why is this double standard?” Another priest said.
Deoghar administration on Friday also issued orders that prohibit the entry of adult worshipers to the Dham Baidyanath temple if they have not taken their covid-19 vaccine dose.
Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri examines temples and surroundings.
Deoghar Municipal Corporation is also directed at ensuring the sanitalization right inside and around the location of the temple and Shiva Ganga, a holy pool.
