Coimbatore: The number of students treated in corporate schools in the city almost doubled in the current academic year, compared to the previous one.
The city has 84 corporate schools – 17 higher schools, 11 secondary schools, 14 secondary schools and 42 elementary schools.
In accordance with the data available with the Civic body, its own primary and middle school so far this year has seen a 98% increase in receipt of 3,786 from 1,913 years ago.
Receipts to high and higher high schools have also risen 30% and 18%, this academic year.
An official with the City Corporation education wing associated an increase in acceptance to save by teachers and principals.
“The teacher meets people in front of their door, explaining the infrastructure available in schools and convincing parents of prospective students about the quality of education offered in corporate schools.” Some schools have changed facilities also to attract students.

It attracted many parents in the area to register their ward to school, which saw 82 new admissions, taking the strength of students to 232.
Almost all corporate schools, the official said, had a smart classroom, library, and clean facilities.
