Coimbatore: The number of students treated in corporate schools in the city almost doubled in the current academic year, compared to the previous one.
The city has 84 corporate schools – 17 higher schools, 11 secondary schools, 14 secondary schools and 42 elementary schools.
In accordance with the data available with the Civic body, its own primary and middle school so far this year has seen a 98% increase in receipt of 3,786 from 1,913 years ago.
Receipts to high and higher high schools have also risen 30% and 18%, this academic year.
An official with the City Corporation education wing associated an increase in acceptance to save by teachers and principals.
