Ludhiana: District with the highest number of constituencies in Punjab this time also has a doubtful difference to have the highest red warning constituency, which has three or more candidates with criminal cases against them, among all districts in the state.
Nine red alert constituencies from between 14 total have 38 candidates who have criminal cases against them.
Not only that this district also has a constituency – sahnewal – which has a maximum number of eight candidates who have criminal cases against them.
According to Punjab Election Watch data released by the Association for Democratic Reform (ADR), which compiled data after analyzing written information candidates, this district also had more than 69 candidates for crorepatis and one of them was a feature at the RS 100 Crore Club.
In accordance with ADR data, the sahnewal constituency in this district is a constituency of red commemorations that have eight of the highest candidates from 19 analyzed by criminal cases.
Data showed that Samrala and Ludhiana South had the second highest candidate with criminal cases in five while Atam Nagar and Khanna had four candidates such as criminal cases.
The total number of candidates in the nine red commemoration constituencies from Ludhiana District with a criminal case is 38 consisting of 21.7% of the total candidate (175) in Fray for 14 district constituencies.
Nine of 14 district constituencies were categorized as a constituency of red commemorations, the percentage of the constituency in the district was 64.3%.
In Punjab, 57 of 117 constituencies in the election of the Punjab include 3 candidates or more with criminal cases stated, namely 49% of the total constituency.
This report shows that Ludhiana Regency has the highest number of constituencies with Amritsar in second place with five such constituencies in the district.
According to the ADR report, from 521 candidates with assets of RS 1 Crore Plus, 69 came from the Ludhiana district of 13.2% of the total candidate.
Among the main districts, Amritsar had 48 candidates in the reshuffle while Patiala had 46 candidates.
