Mumbai: Given the number of cases of Covid-19, BMC may soon review his decision to keep all fields or jumbo operational cigarettes.
Jumbo centers are built to accommodate 1,000 patients with each, and are strategically scattered throughout the eastern part, west and center of the city.
“Our downsizing, but we have so far asked for our jumbo center deans to just make some active wards,” said the Supplementary City Commissioner of Suresh Kakani.
He said there was no current plan just to keep one or two operational centers.
“We have to be vigilant for 15 days for any bursts in the case as we open further.
In addition, we must remember that the facilities remain open are not concentrated in one part of the city.
We need facilities in the eastern, west and center of the city, “He said.
BMC has been praised for developing a triage covid system: While mild cases are being recognized in Jumbo centers, severe cases treated in hospitals – especially Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri or KEM super-special hospitals, Sion and Nair.
Kakani said when the third wave ended, BMC could put most of the Jumbo Hospital as a backup so that they could be reactivated in the shortest possible time if there was a case surge.
