Ludhiana: After a 31-year-old woman committed suicide at her home in Prem Nagar, civilian line, on Saturday, Division 8 police ordered her husband and her in-laws on charges of death and criminal conspiracy.
Then, her husband and his father were arrested.
The deceased has been identified as Manvi.
He married Sherry Gupta, a businessman, six years ago.
Father, Vinod Gupta said, “Immediately after Marriage Manvi, his in-laws began to harass him for Mahar.
They will often beat him for a small problem.
Some of our relatives and I tried to solve the problem, but it didn’t work.
On Saturday morning, my daughter called me and said she was enough annoyed and want to go home , Mother-in-law of Neera Gupta, Nancy-in-law and Sanjali and Vishal Gupta them.
