Dozens of marches for women’s rights in Kabul Palace

KABUL: Some dozen protesters have gathered outside the Presidential Palace in Kabul, urging the leadership of the new Taliban to enforce the rights of women achieved under West Protection and cover women in the upcoming government.
At one gate on Friday, around a dozen women raised a small page printed urgently for “heroic cabinet with a woman’s presence.” Protesters shouted slogans confirming human rights and said they did not want to return to the past.
Documents circulated by protesters demand that women Afghanistan be given full rights to education, social and political contributions in the future of the country, and general freedom including freedom of speech.
