Mysuru: Classes that have been reopened for PU students and those in class IX and X after a five-month gap, the Public Instruction Department (DPI) ordered a survey that was seeking the opinions of parents about inviting students from class I to VIII back to campus .
Private school principles say that they have been instructed by DPI officials to compile parents’ opinions on the Google form, which will be submitted earlier.
Teachers and principals from many schools in Mysuru have asked parents to offer their views no later than 10 am on Tuesday.
Primary and higher primary class students have lived on campus since March 2020, and experts in the education sector have urged the government to bring them back on campus given the need for their holistic development.

The Minister of Premier and Secondary Education BC Nagesh, “This is an unofficial survey conducted by educational block officers to ensure the idea of parents about the class to restart.
This is not part of the decision-making process.
Parents are key stakeholders, and our decision about The reopening of the school must take into account their opinions.
“Nagesh pointed at the excitement where most students had returned to campus on Monday.
“They are happy to be able to return to their schools and colleges,” said Minister.
Parents may be happy with their opinions sought in school improvements.
“Decisions should not be worn to us, because we are actual stakeholders.
Parents must be consulted before the decision about the reopening of the school is taken.
